BISHOP

DENNIS THOMPSON

ABOUT

"The mandate that the Lord has placed on Pastor Thompson's life is to fulfill God's will by preparing the body of Christ to stand firmly on the Word of God"

Bishop Dennis Thompson is the Senior Pastor and Founder of In His Image Evangelical Ministries, Incorporated in Bridgeton, New Jersey. IHI Ministries is a young growing body of believers who are known for their annual "Deeper Life Conferences," which are designed to minister to the whole man—spirit, soul and body. The mandate that the Lord has placed on Pastor Thompson's life is to fulfill God's will by preparing the body of Christ to stand firmly on the Word of God.

Through his teaching, he instructs the saints on how to stand in their rightful place within God's Kingdom and to combat the enemy as we advance into this century.

Bishop Thompson has done extensive religious and public service work throughout the states of New York and New Jersey within the prison system and youth detention centers. He is known for his involvement in civic affairs working as a two-term City Councilman for the city of Bridgeton and is a Chaplin for his local police department.  He is an Alumni Advisor for Leadership in Cumberland County of Cumberland County College.  He is a member of Light of the World International Fellowship of Churches and a Board member of The Interdenominational Fellowship of Churches, of New Jersey.  Bishop also is a mentor and father to many sons in the Gospel.

He is the Overseer of the Last Day Remnant Bible College, which currently has campuses nationwide, and also functions as a teacher in Advanced Theological Studies. Bishop Thompson has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology, a Doctorate of Divinity, and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Theological Studies.  With more than two decades of experience in ministry, his church flourishes with a strong spiritual vitality enriched by programs of fellowship, music, Christian education, and outreach. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by walking in the Spirit and producing disciples who are engaged in worship, edification, evangelism, and fellowship.

Bishop Thompson’s vision is to have a bible-centric church that reaches the world with the good news of Jesus Christ while zealously living out the Great Commission of teaching and discipling others for Christ. The ministry’s objectives are to lead individuals to the saving faith of Jesus Christ, teach them the Word of God, encourage involvement in dynamic worship, enable believers to identify and utilize their spiritual intimate relationship with Christ, cultivate proper spiritual attitudes and develop a sense of community — ministering to the whole man.

“For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.”
